RACHEL MUSSON

INCONVENIENT HEART-LED MIND-SHIFTING REGENERATIVE

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

The inconvenient woman re-sourcing education.
Asking the questions no one wants to ask.

Some questions unsettle. Some reveal what we’d rather not see. But these are the questions that matter. Rachel doesn’t provoke for the sake of challenge—she invites you to step beyond comfort, to see with new eyes and to walk toward the change that is already calling.

"Rachel doesn’t ask for permission. She tears the old rulebook apart and hands you a blank page. If you care about the future, listen up—because she’s here to start a fire."

– Event Organiser

Rachel doesn’t do small talk. She gets to the point—education needs a rethink and she makes you see why. No fluff, no theory—just the truth and what we need to do next.

– Society of Heads Conference

"Rachel doesn’t play nice with outdated ideas. She’s here to shake things up and make you question everything you thought you knew about education. Buckle up."

About Rachel

Keynote Speaker, Author, Educator, Podcaster, Facilitator, Policy Advisor and RSA Fellow.

Rachel began her journey as a teacher, deeply immersed in the challenges of modern schooling. But something didn’t sit right. She saw the struggles, stressed-out teachers, disengaged students and an education system out of sync with the real world.

So she stepped away, not to leave education behind, but to rediscover what it had lost. Her journey took her across continents, into classrooms and communities, where she found what so many had forgotten: learning is not just a process—it’s a way of being. It should nourish, inspire and connect us to what truly matters: ourselves, each other and the natural world.

For over two decades, she has worked alongside teachers, school leaders, curriculum designers and policymakers to rethink learning at every level—shifting from separation to connection, from extraction to regeneration, from burnout to renewal.

As the founder of ThoughtBox Education CIC and creator of the Triple WellBeing® Framework, Rachel is connecting with thousands of schools and organisations worldwide, helping to transform education into something that doesn’t just prepare educators and students for an uncertain future but actively shapes a better one.

If you’re looking for a speaker who brings both truth and possibility, who doesn’t just challenge but awakens, Rachel is the one to book.

"The inconvenient truth?
Education won’t change until we do."

Example Keynote Topics

Every talk is tailored to your event, addressing education's challenges with insight, connection and a clear path forward.

What if we’re educating for the wrong future?

For decades, we’ve tried to fix education with more tests, more tech, more efficiency—but the world doesn’t need better test scores, it needs better thinkers, wiser leaders and more connected communities. This talk challenges how we define success in education and explores a new model: one that prepares people not just for work, but for life in a rapidly changing world

What AI can’t teach us (and why we must practice it)

AI, automation and geopolitical shifts are reshaping the global workforce faster than we can teach it. But the most valuable skills aren’t hard skills—they’re human skills. Adaptability, emotional intelligence, critical thinking and the ability to navigate complexity will define the next era of leadership and work. This talk explores how we redesign education to cultivate what machines can’t replace.

What if schools were designed for life, not just work?

What if education didn’t just prepare students for jobs, but for stewardship of the world itself? In an era of climate breakdown, social fragmentation and economic instability, learning must evolve beyond individual achievement. This talk explores education as a living system—one that fosters resilience, regeneration and the wellbeing of people, communities and the planet.

How to lead when no one knows what’s next

Systemic change isn’t just about policy and strategy—it’s about people willing to challenge the status quo. But how do we lead when the old ways no longer serve us? This talk explores the inner work of leadership—developing clarity, courage, and the ability to act wisely in times of uncertainty. Because if we want to change education, we have to rethink how we lead it.
